Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Linkory (“Linkory,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Linkory mobile application. Linkory is a local-first application that helps you save, organize, search, and back up links shared from websites and other apps.

1. Information stored on your device

Saved links, user-created categories, notes, tags, preferences, and related app data are primarily stored locally on your device. Linkory does not currently require you to create an account.

You may export or import a backup file using options available in the app. Backup files are created, selected, and managed by you through your device.

2. Information processed through our server

To provide certain features, Linkory may send information to our server, including:

• The URL of a link you choose to save or preview.
• Link metadata such as title, description, website name, and image URL.
• Technical request information such as IP address, request time, and basic server logs.

This information is used to retrieve link previews, operate the service, prevent abuse, apply rate limits, troubleshoot errors, and maintain security.

3. AI Organizer

The AI Organizer runs only when you choose to use it. When you tap the Organize feature, Linkory may send the selected link and relevant metadata to our server and to an AI service provider, currently Groq, for the limited purpose of generating a category, tags, intent, or other organizational suggestions.

Do not use the AI Organizer for links or text containing confidential, highly sensitive, or legally protected information.

4. How we use information

We use processed information only to:

• Provide link previews and AI organization features.
• Maintain, secure, and improve Linkory and its backend service.
• Detect misuse, excessive automated requests, and technical problems.
• Respond to support requests and legal obligations.

5. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be processed by service providers that help us operate Linkory, including hosting providers and AI processing providers. These providers receive only the information needed to perform the relevant service.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users, or to protect the security and integrity of Linkory.

6. Retention

Data stored locally remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s data, uninstall the app, or restore a different backup. Server logs and temporarily processed link information are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for operation, security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.

7. Your choices and deletion

You can delete saved links from within the app. You can also clear Linkory’s application data or uninstall the app to remove locally stored information. Linkory currently does not create user accounts, so there is no online account to delete.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. However, no internet transmission, device storage method, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Children’s privacy

Linkory is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the service, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

10. External websites and services

Linkory stores and opens links to third-party websites and apps. Those third parties operate under their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of external services.

11. International processing

Our hosting and service providers may process information in countries other than your own. By using network-based features, you understand that the information needed to provide those features may be processed in those locations.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Linkory’s features, service providers, or legal obligations change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
